Final draft

Here is hopefully the final draft of the front cover and I stress the word HOPEFULLY. I have made only one adjustment from my previous draft. At the bottom I added a red banner and added text which is basically saying that you can earn money from a competition. I've done this because it will definitely entice people because my target audience which is sixth form students will love the fact that they could get money to spend at a shopping mall. Also I've included it because it a typical media convention that is included in almost all magazines and newspapers, for instance tabloids like the sun, the daily star etc, and its even used with broadsheets eg the independent.  The colour red has been used as the primary colour in the little banner essentially because I stands out, and because when you add a blue text to it it doesn't class. I've have also followed my teachers advice and used a similar text to the title. So that it all looks familiar and in sink. I feel this draft I easily better than my first because the lighting is much better and this is complimented by the blue background which makes the students stand out more, whereas before with the school building in the background it just look too confusing and muddled up.  Also I added a diagonal banner on the top. I have used this because I was inspired by a cover of Empire magazine which I included in one of my previous blogs as that magazine had a banner on the top and it made it look more professional and unique. Another reason I have used it was because the top half of my magazine cover was filled with the colour blue and I thought that it was just too boring so I had to make it more vibrant. 


Another thing I would like to point is that I think that my decision to use a mid shot instead of a close up was vindicated because with a close up shot I think it would of looked to distracting. But also I mid-shot shows our school's uniform, which shows that our school is very professionally when compared to other sixth form's who do not where uniform.
